oh sorry it is counter top laminate but just so you know it does not stick. I am having trouble getting to 200 Deg. C. I am only able to get 160 max?? But nophead your blog has been a huge help...

I tried melamine laminated hardboard, which I think is the same as Formica, and I could not get it to stick at any temperature or speed.

I need around 8W to get to 200C, assuming you get around 10V after the Darlington, that means you should be able to reach 200C as long as your heater is less than 12 ohm, 6 is the recommended value I think. Sounds like a software problem.
